As I noted in my other reply, I've used three types of dongle, the one from Halfords is badged Model: DX750 EDRV2 HS, LM Technologies, it's transparent blue and came with a yellow Bluesoleil mini-cd.
Note that it'll likely be much help, but its id "USB\VID_0A12&PID_0001\5&1FF2A54E&0&1" (on the Details property page from device manager) matches the device at line 78 in %windir%\INF\bth.inf:
Generic Bluetooth Radio= BthUsb, USB\Vid_0a12&Pid_0001
Look in Device Manager and find the id of the one you have already and see if it appears in that file. If it does hopefully the delete driver, update driver process should do the job. I think I've see suggestions to manually add a dongle id, but I'd recommend some research before do so...
